Someone else having this problem over in aus said that you need to put your texture size to "large" in options, then join.

Thank's Falcar...!!!

I put on Extra the last 3 options of Texture Settings and then i join in the server without any problem...!!!

For anybody else with this problem. The images demonstrate how to fix it.

Texture settings to Extra.

Then lower them one by one until it crashes, and that is your threshhold.

Well, I'm VERY limited in resources just like Probe... (That's what I get for buying a $300 eMachines)

IF the 'bug' doesn't get fixed, then I'd probably not update because I can only imagine the difficulties of telling people how to fix it. (Especially since most of our players don't have a means of contacting us)

But I have confidence it's not to much to worry about, and that it'll be fixed.

Read the instructions above and max them out, make sure it runs, then lower them one at a time to see their limit. When it crashes, put it back up and go onto the next texture setting.

I will see what I can do for a fix, but no guarantees as I have nobody to test it with and only theories to go by.

On MY computer, I found out that setting the "Texture Resolution" to Extra fixes the issue. (All other texture settings can stay Low)

I'm not sure what everyone else has done to fix it, perhaps some more replies and we could see if everyone comes up with the same solution.

Another thing to add, the error only pops up when the mod itself loads. So I don't have to be in a server for it to happen. I can simply go to Mods in the main menu, activate the mod, and then the problem occurs.

My theory is that it has to do with the older graphic card support of the more advanced high res texture features (DDS5).

I have gone through our textures and fixed what I believe to be the culprit , but I have nobody to test it, so we will implement it for next release and see if it fixes the problem for you all.

Otherwise what Mr.Game has stated should fix your problems, at the expense of FPS.

I'll test it for you, it's not like I'm losing much if my PC goes caput, ha ha.

I'm running an NVidia GeForce - 9400 GT right now. I have all my graphical settings configured so I run a constant 40-60 FPS. I cannot go higher than 60 because I set it to max my FPS to my screen refresh (60 hz).

BUT ANYWAYS: I didn't see a drop in FPS when I set all my texture settings to Extra, so depending on how you have everything setup, you probably won't see a drop either.

Fair enough. Well I have a super card so I can't test. I'm currently at work but if you are about when I get home, I will send you the fix for you to test. Then you can let me know if it works or not. Also, your card will not blow up LOL, the fix is catered towards supporting older cards, therefore it 'should' put less strain on it.

Either way, if this doesn't work, I don't think we have any other ideas up our sleeves and the Texture Resolution > Extra will have to suffice.

Fingers crossed! {#emotions_dlg.gunslinger}

Thanks to Mr.Game being my guinea pig, it is 98.632% confirmed that the image allocation error will be fixed next update.

That's very good to know, my problem isn't my video card. As it is ATI HD 4650 1GB RAM DDR2, the main problem is... my CPU:
Celeron D 315 ._.

Which is unstable... VERY unstable. Imagine this... Playing COD4, on first map, training, I got 60 fps... then for non-sense looking at the ground, very quiet... it begins to lag :/ (I tested 3 versions of windows XP and 7... even Linux, it's unstable)... That's why some configs I put on low... but in 5 days I expect to buy a laptop... notebook whatever, better for nowadays.

Waste of a good graphics card if you dont have the cpu to match it.

Yeah, but I had to chose, between onboard which doesn't have pixel shader, (because my geforce 6200 has kaboom, Duke Nukem said: See you in hell!), and this, it was a cheap and a good. I gain some FPS (about 40 which is good).

I don't give so much about, I will buy a New pc soon! \o/

Wish me lucky, because remake backlot at this computer on UDK is being a pain in the butt!
