After much debating with Lazer, we have discovered that the 2.99c release did not include the image files, which was causing all sorts of problems when merging 2.99b with 2.99c, let alone not fixing the NVG issue.

I have uploaded 2.99c Fixed, which contains the whole mod. So no need to merge any files.

Fixes, which should now reflect properly are as follows:

2.99c_fixed.

 The same updates as 2.99c, but it actually works now.

-Obscurity no longer trip clays/lasers while observing
-Swap orbs now catch grenades and C4
-Reduced swap and stun orb lifetimes to 10 seconds
-Orbs continue moving to last position
-Returned night vision field of view
-Removed impact noise/effects from obs rifle
-Crossfire works again
-Fixed damage detection on obs body while observing
-Obs rifle correctly destroys C4 and lasers
-Fixed pull firing mode and added an indirect feature
-Corrected night vision on heal bug

Sorry, but it didn't come with a .cfg file and I had to download one of the older versions to get it...

I'm not sure if this was intentional, but it would be of help to people just downloading and beginning to use the mod...

the releases with letters are intended to be stacked on top of the previously already installed mod versions.

I have uploaded the obscurity_defaults.cfg file as a standalone download for anybody that needs it. Just fill it out correctly (rcon password/redirect path) and put it within the mod folder on your server, execute it, and start slashing.

I just wanted to point it out because (I don't know why) all my files were missing and I had to re-download them because of a new server I was setting up...

The speed was @ 50 kb/s and it took nearly 30 min. to download just this version alone... Then I found out it didn't come with the .cfg. So I then downloaded the other two to make sure I could find it in the most recent version.

It took me a good hour or so, but I finally got it. (I just didn't want to see anyone else that's new have to go through the same process)

Sorry about that. 

The downlaod speeds are really fast for us as we live near the server, therefore sometimes we forget that not everyone gets to download files fast.

Also, we don't download the mod files ourselves as we create them, so it is difficult to actually know anything is wrong until people mention it.

I have this version on my server -->  mp_obsxmas.rar

I need to download this ??  mp_obs299c_fix.rar

I Need to replace the old files with this obs299c fix ??

You will need the Obscurity Config and mp_obs299c_fix for the latest released version. It is old and there have been many updates since. We will try and release Obscurity 2.99d asap.

Snakelet I Have this version on my server but mp_fav and mp_higrise don't work with day/night/water cicle.

What can i do to this custom map work with day/night/water cicle ??

P.S.

I see many screeshoots with new night vision this is for Obscurity-MoD ??

The NVG screenshots are just experiments we were doing with colours. There is however a new battery charge feature on the NVG now.

Sorry, mp_fav and mp_highrise will only work with 2.99d. We haven't released it officially yet, so its currently only available on OC1 and RTX servers.

I still have the same problem of the correct path to start the mod.
Falcon which would be the route if I think the server from home?
I downloaded the latest update of the 2.99c_fix mod, but I can not do that they can choose to obscurity

I have these values:

set sv_maxclients 10
set ui_maxclients 10

set obs_ratio 1

set g_gametype "obs_elim"

set scr_teambalance 1

What else should I change?

Make sure you have also obtained the config: https://www.obscuritymod.com/downloads/mp_obs299_server_config.rar

Then execute the config via: /exec obscurity_defaults.cfg

Then do a map rotate.

Thanks for responding, I have 3 questions:

1. I start my normal server with that configuration, I will rotate a map and I can now add the settings to the console?

2. A tip to solve the offline server error, sometimes happens when I try to access my server, or a friend comes too. : set obs_ratio 3.5

3. How would the command to play 1 Vs 1 manire Obs?

1. Yeah, the config just sets the default settings. You can access a lot of the settings by typing /obscurity into the console. You are also able to change the settings in the config if you wish, such as the obs ratio.

2/3. You can set the obs_ration to 1 if you wish to make it a 1 vs 1 match.

If the gametype is elimination, nobody will spawn until 2 people have joined. It will be locked to spectate. You can spawn yourself by typing /changeteam 0 if you wish to stuff about.
