Got our server up and running.  Had some great gaming.

Our players have two requests that they would like me to look into.

First, can I set the day/night cycling off so we are just daytime only?

Second, if I turn hardcore off, will the players get to see their health bar, mini-map, etc?

Thanks for the great mod.

set obs_dntimescale 0

doesnt that turn it off all together?

Is there a healthbar in cod4?? Really? Wow....

Why not just set scr_hardcore 0. Restart and find out if it works? if not turn it back

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to turn hardcore off.

From what I remember, Falcar said he coded it into the mod itself.

And the weather + DNC can be controlled.

Uhm I think it was friendly fire I forced on... you can turn hardcore off, but it wasn't designed for it and there will be messed up stuff left right and centre. You can freeze the time of day with obs_dntimescale 0 as was said but... it will still be using the initial random day/night stage the map starts on =/

Its not actually HC really anyways. The only reason its on is to remove the GAY hud and map. Which i know, may come as a shock to some people, but you dont get in RL anyway......

The health is set to 130 obs and 100 (i think, or is it 90?) humans anyway. so......

Press TAB to view the minimap. I strongly suggest not disabling hardcore, as it is not how the mod is meant to be played, but your server...

To explain further to what Falcar said, the maps each start at a random time of the day, which is sometimes night time. You can stop the cycle, but it will mean some maps may start pitch black and stay pitch black. We added the dynamic weather and day/night cycles to mix up the maps and atmosphere a bit more. The cycle speeds can be slowed down or sped up etc to suit your needs.
