Hello all,
First off I'd like to compliment the obs team on a very well put together mod. My friends and I enjoy it very much.
Secondly, we're interested in creating our own Obs mod server and after DLing the 293 and 293b's we're at an impass. We're hoping there is a good read me file or tutorial on installing the current mod with patch available?
All help is appreciated.

There are the update notes.
As for a Readme, there isn't really one as of yet, but the .cfg file is documented extremely well. If you know how to run a server with a mod, then this should not be any different. Look through the .cfg file to find the obs specific commands and information, or ask for specific help on the forums if you cannot find it anywhere here first.
As for the files you have downloaded, just merge the two together. The updates get released so that you just merge the latest lettered rars, with the latest numbered rar.

ok installed mod on server using the 293 a and b whenever any tries to join server they get the infomous iw3mp.exe error has any 1 else experienced this problem.
Do i need to install earlier versions of mod then update?
any help would be apprciated thanks

also is there any special set up such as were files go have them in the mods folder under folder name mp_obs . server set up like you would set up a zombie mod server

Psyc, Just combine 2.93 and 293b and place the files in a folder within the mod folder as per normal. (COD4_root>Mods>mp_obs>Insert 4 files here)
Once you get the server running, cfg executed correct etc on a correct gametype (obs_elim, obs_arm, obs_vip, obs_koth, obs_mar) it should all work. You will need 2-3 players to get elim or VIP rounds to start.
Anybody that joins the server and downloads the files will usually crash out with SCO or a pb related error the first time they download it. This is normal and happens with a lot of mods. Once they reconnect, they should be able to stay in for as long as they want. ALT+TAB will cause SCO most of the time, so it's best not to use it.

Hi guys,
Just a quick question regarding the new 294 update. When putting that into the server do we need to remove the old ff files or just drop this in without changing anything?
