Anytime i have tries to join one of the servers listed on the left, the servers times out. U guys have any ideas on how to fix this? I really appreciate your help, as this is a great mod and really fun/scary.

Which servers have you tried?
Correct me if I'm wrong but a few of those servers on the left aren't running anymore, so that could be the problem?

the chances are your trying to connect to servers that would give you a very high ping, this often results in you recieveing the "server times out" or "server disconnected" message.

The alternative is that the server no longer exists and so it would be impossible to connect to.

I purged all of the servers that were not running...you may notice a lack of them to your left.

The remaining servers should usually be running. You may also find additional servers running the mod via the COD4 ingame server list. Filter by gametype and it shouldn't be too hard to find the servers running Obscurity.

Sorry to take forever to reply, but i have been fairly busy with BC2...and now,

*nervous laugh*

I forgot to mention that my game was 'given' to me from a friend, not from a CD bought in at EB Games. I am still having trouble bringing up the list of servers, and the servers on the left keeps timing out. However, may I mention that some servers I could connect to, for example

81.30.64.75:28961              and other stuff. So im guessing I can only connect to private servers?

I can't really help you with the master server question. All I can say is that the servers to the left have now been cleaned up and the remaining ones should be up and running the majority of the time.

You should however get the game legitimately because it is fairly cheap nowadays.
