Hello,

 

Recently (over the weekend) I went a bit crazy and started making maps, I made two testers and then started my third... This third one consists of at the moment a series of tunnels underground, and one (around 10 floor includin bottom and roof building). Theres multiple towers where you can gain access to by walking along planks or sometimes climbing vines / ladders.

 

Its all of flat ground >.< but theres secret rooms / holes so you could be walking along and suddenly fall to your death or into a tunnel! or find a secret room (with MELONS!) and hide their (secret I mean looks like normal wall but is non colliding so you can shoot and walk / crouch / prone through it.

 

And to be honest I had the Obscurity Mod in my head for this map as its perfect, its fair to both teams (Obscurity start on a side of the map which marines can't access and start in a tunnel to give marines a bit of time to get to where they want.) The secret rooms are easy to possess people that are camping in and theres very high (invisible) walls all around map to stop people getting out. (This stops airstrikes though thats one reason for obscurity :) )

 

I was just wandering if it would be okay on the Load screen to have  something like 'Made by (Me) then made for Obscurity Mod www.obscuritymod.com blah blah

 

Wat you guys think xD?

 

*edit* What spawns are required for all obscurity Mods? I know team deathmatch is used for Elimination.. but what else are used?

wouldnt you need to add in HQ's and the relevent spawns for the armory gametype.

also make some rooms with glass walls or bars that the obs can enter (phase) but the marines cant.

I would do but on our servers we tell players not to swap people into phase-only rooms (So the person that gets swapped is stuck) as it just implies unfair gameplay and shows no real skill..

 

Also, new idea ^^ How about Kill Pits? Such as the marines are walking around and then they fall into a pit that they cant get out of .. =] but each pit would be marked with a melon over the top of it xD (possibly a secret escape passage?)

We are looking into a fix for lame swapping (a pretty good one has been agreed upon) so keep an eye out next update as its function may be changed.
